How to wear Sari

The saree is a length of cloth measuring from about 4 to 8 meters by about 120 centimeters (13 to 26 feet by about 4 feet), which is draped around the entire body. Most of this fabric is pleated at the waist and then worn round to make askirt or pair of trousers, with the remaining few yards swept across the upper half of the body, covering at least one shoulder and sometimes veiling the head.

The twisted crepe fibers from which georgette is made gives it a springy quality that makes it seem to move on its own. While this quality makes georgette somewhat more difficult to sew the results are well worth the effort. Georgette is a thin woven silk fabric often of crepe yarn and construction. It is -a sheer silk or rayon crepe of dull texture. A sheer lightweight fabric, often made of silk or from such manufactured fibers as polyester, with a crepe surface.
